Interview with the artist

You made a beautiful track. Can you please tell us about your influences?

So many things influence me.Trees, birds, the sea, dreams, weather, temperature, stars, moonlight, the universe and so on. Those are mostly Nature.

What combination of genres are used in this track, as you would describe it?

It’s a lead sound of Melodic trance and the groove of Future bass, mainly. Not only that, but some elements of Dubstep and Rock music. I like many genres. I mixed the refreshingness of Melodic trance with the grandness of Future bass. “Emerald Valley” is the place like that.

Please tell us about your creative process for the song: how did you get it started?

I usually start to decide chords, because it’s easy to write melody. But it’s not the best way, I think. The track I feel good is often played with every sounds in my head. Melody, chords, basses, drums, and FX are played at the same time.

There are lots of complex rhythms running throughout this track. How did you layer those rhythms together?

Those are played at the same time in my head, like a answer of the 3rd question.

What are your favorite tools and sounds to use in your productions?

Xfer Serum, LFO tool and OTT are really good. Especially OTT is used in most lead sound.

What do you think makes this track unique?

To surge in a lot of sounds one after another such as voice of life.

Who are your biggest heroes in music production, and how do they inspire you?

Seven Lions, absolutely. I can see the beautiful landscape when I close my eyes in his tracks.

Do you have any tips to share with other producers that may help them?

This is the first time to present my track to public, so It’s a difficult question… To add some 200Hz to bass is important. You let everybody hear the bass when the track is played in any devices.

Trackmakers apt to be particular about headphones and speakers, but most people are not so.

Will you continue making tracks like this one – is this a style that’s true to your artistic vision, or a happy surprise that you made it? We’d love to know what you think about this track.

Yes, it is the style of mine. Although it’ not about a genre. Painting a landscape by using bright sound, huge bass and the development of the story are my style. I don’t want to be bound by a genre.

What would be the next goal for you as a musician?

Recreating the sounds in my head correctly. It’s difficult for me right now. And playing my music in front of many audience as a DJ.
