Each pattern has a corresponding recommended bpm, so try adjusting your DAW tempo to match. Of course, rules are meant to be broken, so use whatever bpm suits your track!

Long-time friend of Mixed In Key, Kiva is a veteran music producer and founder of the record label Adios Babylon. A well-travelled musician with appearances at festivals like Sonar, Montreaux Jazz Festival, Roskilde, he is also a regular performer at the mystic Dub in the Rainforest series on the island of St. Croix.
Multi-talented and a multi-instrumentalist, he has produced and remixed for countless underground artists ranging in style from Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop to Dubstep and Reggae.
Kiva has shared stages with such artists as Lee Scratch Perry, Midnite, Pressure Busspipe, Mykal Rose, Akae Beka, I Grade Dub, Kode 9, RSD, and many more. He’s also a world-renowned Ableton Live Certified Trainer, teaching Ableton and music production to over 7000+ students worldwide, from novice producers just beginning to pursue the craft, to top professionals looking to embrace new music technology.
