20 years of music analysis. A new way to explore sound.
For over 20 years, Mixed In Key has helped DJs and producers understand their music and find combinations that work. Multiple brings that experience to the sounds already on your computer.
We tested Multiple in Paris, Ibiza, Nashville, Miami, Seoul, and Tokyo, across songwriting, production, and DJ workflows. Those sessions shaped how you browse and combine sounds, so you spend less time searching and more time making music.

Frequently asked questions
What does Multiple do?
Multiple brings presets from supported instruments into one searchable browser. You can hear sounds as you explore the wheel, save favorites, and combine sounds into stacks that play together. It works as a standalone app and as an instrument inside your DAW.
What plugins are supported?
Multiple works with these instruments when they are installed on your computer:
- Xfer Serum and Serum 2
- u-he Diva
- Arturia Pigments and Analog Lab
- Spectrasonics Omnisphere
- Native Instruments Kontakt 7 and 8
- Native Instruments Massive X
- Kilohearts Phase Plant
- LennarDigital Sylenth1
- Roland ZENOLOGY and Roland Cloud instruments
It finds their factory presets and your own custom presets. Multiple also includes over 200 built-in sounds that need no other instrument.
Does Multiple include sounds of its own?
Yes. The full version includes over 200 built-in sounds, with pianos, synths, and bass sounds to play and combine. The third-party instruments listed above are separate products that Multiple can connect to when installed.
Do I need a DAW?
You can use Multiple on its own through the standalone Windows or macOS app. Your purchase also includes the plugin version for use inside a compatible DAW.
Which DAWs and computers are supported?
Multiple supports Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, and Logic Pro. It is available for Windows and macOS, with support for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
Do I need a MIDI controller?
You can play using your computer keyboard. Choose a key and scale for the note keys, and use numbers 1 through 7 for chords. A connected MIDI controller sends its notes directly; the computer-keyboard scale setting does not change those incoming notes.
What happens during the first scan?
Multiple scans the instruments installed on your computer and prepares their sounds for instant preview on the wheel. Scan time and disk space depend on your collection.
Am I hearing a preview or the actual synth?
Prepared previews let you hear a sound immediately as you browse. Multiple also loads the instrument behind the scenes. When you play the loaded instrument, the sound comes from your synth.
How many sounds can I combine?
The full version supports up to 50 sounds in a stack, including multiple instances of the same instrument. The processing demands of a stack depend on the instruments and sounds you choose.
Can I save my own stacks?
Yes. Name a complete stack, save it to Favorites, and reopen it later. Each layer has volume, pan, octave, mute, and solo controls.
Can I scan third-party SoundFonts?
Multiple includes its own built-in SoundFonts. It does not scan third-party SoundFonts.
Is Multiple a subscription?
Multiple is a one-time purchase. The $49 launch price includes the standalone app, the DAW plugin, installation on two computers, and one year of updates.
What does one year of updates mean?
Updates are included for one year after purchase. Your purchased version is intended to remain usable afterward; continued compatibility depends on your operating system and installed instruments.
What if Multiple is not right for me?
Your purchase includes a 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact Mixed In Key support within 30 days of purchase to request a refund.
